How to give a four-hands massage at home
You do not need training to give a memorable four-hands massage — you need a plan, because two untrained people improvising feel chaotic rather than luxurious.
Set-up
- A bed is fine; a yoga mat on a table is better for your backs.
- Room at 24–26 °C, dim light, one playlist long enough that nobody touches a phone.
- Warm oil in a bowl of hot water; towels under the receiver.
Rules that make it work
- One person leads; the other mirrors. Decide before you start.
- Match speed, not just position: count slowly in your head.
- Keep at least one hand on the body at all times, each of you.
- No talking except "lighter" / "more".
A 40-minute routine
- Back, both sides at once: long strokes from hips to shoulders (8 min).
- Split: one on shoulders and neck, one on lower back and glutes (8 min).
- Legs: one per leg, mirrored, feet to thighs (8 min).
- Turn over. Arms and hands together (6 min).
- Feet and scalp at the same time — the showstopper (6 min).
- Finish with feather-light strokes down the whole body, both of you, slowing to a stop (4 min).
