Nuru gel guide
Nuru ("slippery" in Japanese) massage uses a clear, odorless gel made from nori seaweed. It's far slicker than oil, water-based, and rinses off with plain water.
Preparing it
- Most gels ship concentrated: mix with warm water (about 1:1) and let it rest 10 minutes.
- Keep a bowl of warm water nearby to re-wet the gel as it dries.
- Use a waterproof sheet — it gets everywhere.
What to buy
Look for a seaweed-based, glycerin-free formula if you have sensitive skin. A bowl of warm water next to the table keeps the gel pleasant for longer.
